Black Seed (Nigella Sativa)
Black seed, scientifically known as Nigella sativa, is also called black cumin or black caraway. It is an annual flowering plant from the Ranunculaceae (buttercup) family. Botanical Description

The most widely used variety is Nigella sativa. Other related species include Nigella damascena (also known as “Love-in-a-Mist”) and Nigella arvensis, but they are less commonly used for medicinal or culinary purposes.
